About The Position

The Lab Technician will support quality assurance and environmental testing in a dynamic laboratory setting. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in chemistry or biology and a passion for environmental sciences. The position focuses on wastewater treatment, soil analysis, and waste compatibility testing, contributing to sustainable innovation in environmental science and waste management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field (required).
• Current MS students are welcome to apply.
• 3-5 years of laboratory experience (academic or internship experience accepted).
• Wet chemistry expertise.
• Proficient in LIMS systems.
• Comfortable working in a sewerage treatment facility environment (odors expected).

Responsibilities

• Perform dilutions and sample weighing.
• Conduct QA/QC testing on soil samples, organic waste, sludge, and aqueous waste.
• Execute compatibility and wastewater treatment testing.
• Maintain certificates and related documentation.
• Manage sample receiving and data entry using LIMS systems.
• Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Lift up to 40 lbs as needed.
