The Laboratory Technician I is responsible for daily testing, determining/monitoring chemical additions and supports the production department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES Monitor and maintain adequate chemical usage to ensure process stability within operations Perform chemical analysis of plating and related chemical process solutions Maintain a record of chemicals and reagents in the laboratory Maintain a record of tank PM schedule Run Hull Cells, Finish Testing Equipment (Neutral Salt Spray Testing, Heat Quench, Adhesion, Chemical Resistance Testing, etc…) Collaborate in the requirements of the safety and environmental protection system OTHER DUTIES Performs other duties as required. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Educations and/or Experience High School diploma is required One-year college chemistry coursework SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES Working knowledge of conventional wet chemical analysis methods such as pH measurement and titrations Basic SPC knowledge for data analysis is required Plating and chemical processing knowledge is a plus Ability to learn, implement and analyze processes is required Ability to plan, organize, and document laboratory work Ability to communicate and work with others Computer Skills Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) Language Skills English (reading, writing, verbal) Mathematical Skills Basic math skills (add, subtract, divide, multiply) Other Skills Must be able to work all shifts, including weekends and holiday hours. Ability to legally work without sponsorship for employment visa status.
