About The Position

This position is responsible for performing a variety of analytical, microbiological, and quality system procedures or work instructions within a Food Safety Laboratory. Precision and accuracy in executing work instructions and collecting data are essential. The role requires maintaining ISO records for process control and complying with all quality system and safety requirements. Initial proficiency testing must be successfully completed, with competency verified at least annually thereafter. The team member will be required to demonstrate proficiency in all applicable work instructions, show continued growth following training, and may be considered for a full-time position should one become available.

Requirements

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: Applicable laboratory experience and/or shipping and receiving experience is preferred.
  • Computer Skills: General knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office applications required; experience with a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) is preferred.
  • Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Special Skills: Knowledge of Good Laboratory Practices (GLP).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods and perform job functions for a full shift with a meal break. Must be physically able to stand, bend, stoop, kneel, reach, twist, lift, push, pull, climb, balance, crouch, handle, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
