Lab Tech I

The Lab Tech I position involves greeting patients and performing phlebotomy necessary for laboratory testing. The role includes registration and login functions, processing and aliquoting specimens under the guidance of a supervisor or technician, and assisting in preparing specimens for send-out. The technician will perform phlebotomy on both inpatients and outpatients, answer phones, take messages, and transfer calls appropriately. Additionally, the technician will register and log in specimens from other facilities and sort and distribute specimens to the appropriate clinical departments.
