About The Position

Purpose: The Laboratory Technician I performs laboratory analytical tests on raw materials and finished products following the established parameters (Client policies, FDA, cGMP) and applicable regulations without impact to the manufacturing cycle or the laboratory workflow. This position must comply with all security guidelines, Environmental Health and Safety regulations and current Good Laboratory (cGLP) and Good Manufacturing (cGMP) Practices required by the job functions.

Requirements

  • An associate degree in Science required, with a major in Chemistry is strongly preferred.
  • A minimum of one year, of experience in the pharmaceutical industry or equivalent in an analytical laboratory, preferably.
  • Computer knowledge such as Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel, etc.
  • Availability to work any shift (first, second and third), weekends, and holidays according to business needs.
  • Must possess and demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work under minimal supervision.
  • Bachelor’s degree in sciences preferably in Chemical/Biology/Chemical Process
  • Attention detail is required and needed.
  • Fully Bilingual – English & Spanish

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing laboratory analytical tests on the raw materials and finished products following the established parameters (Client policies, FDA, cGMP) and applicable regulations without impact to the manufacturing cycle or the laboratory workflow.
  • Ensure test and /or analysis are accurately and documented.
  • Perform preventive maintenance to the laboratory equipments, as applicable.
  • Assure that all samples are collected, tested, and authorized according to schedule and following applicable procedures.
  • Resolve typical technical problems with minimum supervision.
  • Actively participate in the training of new employees.
  • Responsible for the coordination and distribution of tasks, when required.
  • Prepare presentations, as required, for example Invalid Test Investigation.
  • Complete training and certifications on time as established in the training curriculum.
  • Participate and promote continuous improvement to Environmental health and safety (EH&S).
