Lab, Team Lead (PIT) Schedule: 5:00 am - 1:30 pm
About The Position
Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a full-time Laboratory Team Lead working from our Pittsburgh, PA laboratory location, with a start date of March 1, 2026. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Lab, Team Lead A typical day for the Team Lead involves coaching team members, troubleshooting issues, and resolving challenges while providing ongoing support to the team. The Team Lead collaborates closely with staff to coordinate scheduling and assignments, train and monitor testing activities, and facilitate clear communication across the team. This role primarily involves providing technical support and mentorship, assisting with testing procedures as needed, and monitoring daily workflow to ensure efficiency and quality.
Requirements
- Associate's degree (for direct supervision over Lab Testing Technicians) in a scientific discipline with 3–5 years of experience in clinical laboratory testing.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in clinical laboratory procedures and methodologies across multiple assays (at least two for PHX site) with proficiency in performing data analysis.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.
Nice To Haves
- Preferred 2–4 years of experience in a High Complexity Testing.
