Lab, Team Lead, Technologist - Schedule: 8:00 am - 4:30 pm
About The Position
Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a full-time Laboratory Team Lead, Technologist working from our Pittsburgh, PA laboratory location, with a start date of May 1, 2026. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Lab, Team Lead, Technologist A typical day for the Team Lead involves coaching team members, troubleshooting issues, and resolving challenges while providing ongoing support to the team. The Team Lead collaborates closely with staff to coordinate scheduling and assignments, train and monitor testing activities, and facilitate clear communication across the team. This role primarily involves providing technical support and mentorship, assisting with testing procedures as needed, and monitoring daily workflow to ensure efficiency and quality. Requirements
- Associate's degree (for direct supervision over Lab Testing Technicians) in a scientific discipline with 3-5 years of experience in clinical laboratory testing.
- Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated expertise in clinical laboratory procedures and methodologies across multiple assays with proficiency in performing data analysis.
- Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with others in a team-oriented environment.
- All candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Currently, Castle Biosciences does not sponsor H-1B visas, OPT, or employment-related visas.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science preferred (for direct supervision over Molecular Technologists) in a scientific discipline or equivalent
- Preferred 2-4 years of experience in a High Complexity Testing.
