About The Position

Saint Luke’s Mission Farms location is looking for a Phlebotomist, Lab Support Technician to support our lab team. Job Description Collects patient samples using best practices for phlebotomy. Documents receipt of patient samples in Lab Information System (LIS) and prepares them for analysis. Shift Details: Two schedule options: Mon/Wed/Thurs/Fri 6:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with Tuesdays off, working alternating Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. OR Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs/Fri 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., working alternating Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Collects patient specimens in accordance with laboratory's policy, procedures and regulatory standards. Correlates patient samples to provider laboratory test orders in the LIS/EMR. Performs and reports Point of Care laboratory testing as required. Uses education and experience to identify and resolve patient circumstances that might interfere with accurate sample collection. Communicates effectively with nursing and unit staff to relay information concerning patient collections.
