About The Position

The Lab Support Technician plays a crucial role in laboratory operations by performing various technical and clerical functions under supervision. Requirements

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Prefer one year experience in a hospital or laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical and clerical functions under supervision.
• Conduct order entry, processing, testing, and reporting of test results.
• Adhere to collection and processing requirements to prevent specimen loss.
• Utilize computer functions for specimen requirements and documentation.
• Perform accurate labeling and follow proper processing techniques.
• Maintain equipment and supplies for efficiency and cost control.
• Provide customer assistance with a positive attitude.
• Participate in continuing education to improve skills and knowledge.
• Demonstrate competency in all assigned tasks within six months.
• Assist with training of new associates as assigned.
