About The Position

This position serves as the first line of support for the scientific community, ensuring that any concerns are reported and resolved in a timely manner to minimize disruption. The role involves regular meetings with laboratory service providers to maintain open communication and address issues as they arise. Responsibilities include acting as a point of contact for equipment maintenance, supporting the decommissioning of old instruments, assisting in the onboarding of new instruments, and executing regular inventory activities using asset management tracking tools. The position also requires collaboration with both customers and PerkinElmer staff to ensure quality and compliance within the laboratory, maintaining lab documentation, and providing timely communication to lab users regarding site service work.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0-2 years of experience in a customer service focused role.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • Experience in the pharma or chemical industry.
  • Working understanding of GLP/GxP.
  • Understanding of 5S principles.
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical industry is desirable but not required.
  • Understanding of chemicals and safe handling.
  • A valid US driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the first line of support for the scientific community, reporting concerns and ensuring timely resolution.
  • Meet regularly with laboratory service providers to maintain communication and resolve issues.
  • Serve as the point of contact for equipment maintenance, facilitating scheduling and hosting of engineering visits.
  • Support the decommissioning of old instruments and related documentation.
  • Assist in the onboarding of new instruments, coordinating with applicable parties for timely installation.
  • Participate in improvement work linked to the assignment.
  • Execute regular inventory activities utilizing asset management tracking tools.
  • Work with Customer and PerkinElmer staff to ensure quality and compliance within the laboratory.
  • Maintain lab documentation and coordinate archiving.
  • Provide timely communication to lab users on the impact of any site service work.
  • Cross-train and back-up other lab support areas as required.

Benefits

  • Annual compensation range of $48,360.00 to $72,280.00, determined by factors including internal equity, work location, and individual qualifications.
