Lab Support Services Tech - Phlebotomy
About The Position
Lab Support Services Technician - Phlebotomy Performs blood collection on all patient populations and ages using a variety of procedures. Utilizes a positive patient identification device to monitor new orders and draws that are pending. Uses critical thinking skills/problem solving when identifying more difficult collections and alternative procedures to complete blood draws. Interacts with nursing staff, providers, other hospital staff, patients, family members and co-workers to meet the needs of the patient. Adheres to all local/state/federal regulations, codes, policies and procedures to ensure privacy and safety while delivering optimal patient care.
