Functions as part of a dynamic and engaging laboratory team in a professional setting. This caregiver is an experienced Laboratory Assistant who may act as a Team Lead or Primary Trainer and serves as a resource to other caregivers, clinicians, and patients. The Laboratory Assistant III may be responsible for heading special projects, to include research, continuous improvement, and product evaluations. This position spends a significant amount of time performing laboratory testing where allowed by regulatory agencies. Caregivers in this role will gain valuable experience and knowledge to help prepare them for workplace and career advancement. The Laboratory Support Assistant is an experienced Lab Assistant, with advanced knowledge of specimen processing, phlebotomy, and laboratory testing in the clinical and/or pathology areas of the lab.
