About The Position

Purpose and Scope of Position: Ensure that the filling team completes all manufacturing orders efficiently and with superb quality. Assist employees that need guidance. Train new team members on the department processes. Perform quality checks of the products. Ensure the production areas are well maintained and orderly. Assist in other aspects of the team such as pulling product boxes or learning to run a piece of machinery. Willing to jump in wherever is necessary to ensure success of the team.

Requirements

Must be fluent in English; bilingual skills are a plus
Ability to alternate between sitting and standing.
Ability to sit or stand for 8 hours.
Ability to walk for 4 to 6 hours.
Ability to perform fine manipulation such as picking or pinching for 8 hours.
Ability to perform gross manipulation such as holding, grasping, and turning for 8 hours.
Ability to lift and carry 20-40 pounds for 2 to 4 hours.
Near visual acuity, ability to perform quality checks for 8 hours.
Ability to push or pull 20-40 pounds for 2 to 4 hours.
Ability to reach above the shoulder with 40 pounds on occasion.
Ability to stoop or bending for 2 hours.
Ability to crouch or kneel for 2 hours.
Ability to utilize a pallet jack.

Nice To Haves

1 year in a manufacturing setting.
Proven Leadership Experience
bilingual skills are a plus

Responsibilities

Verify that orders are completed on time.
Hold team members accountable to departmental goals
Track daily output of team and implement process improvements to improve output.
Quality check orders.
Knowledgeable on how to read / interpret production orders.
Ability to run the different filling machines.
Train new employees to the department.
Leave work station clean and orderly after each shift.
Additional duties as assigned.
Hold quarterly reviews with each team member with the assistance of department manager.
Assist department manager with various tasks.
Check employee timecards and attendance.
