Days, M-F, must be flexible to on-call BILD Eligible Overview Missouri Baptist Medical Center, an acute care hospital in St. Louis County, offers a full continuum of medical and surgical services, including heart care, cancer, women and infants, breast health, gastrointestinal, orthopedic, stroke, therapy, wound and pain management services. Responsibilities
- Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages & evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet/support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership.
- Supervises laboratory activities to ensure that procedures are performed promptly, accurately, and precisely according to department and hospital policies and procedures.
- May participate in the development of departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets and having direct responsibility for adhering to those goals. This includes responding to changes in the business which may affect the ability to achieve the budget goals.
- Schedules staff and assign work to ensure that laboratory procedures are performed promptly proficiently, and accurately. (When necessary the supervisor is expected to perform tasks routinely assigned to direct reports.)
