Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Licenses: No professional license required.
  • Certifications: No professional certification required.
  • Experience: Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Drug Screen
  • Physical Assessment
  • Tuberculosis screen
  • Background check (Criminal, Civil, Educational, Previous Employment, etc.)
  • Driver Record screen (positions requiring on-the-job driving)
  • Immunizations required for employment

Responsibilities

  • Always conducts themselves in a professional manner. Maintains patient/resident/employee privacy and confidentiality at all times.
  • Reliable and punctual attendance is essential; expected to be at job as scheduled each scheduled day.
  • Communicate necessary information to others as appropriate.
  • Participate as a team member and is accountable for own work responsibilities.
  • Basic knowledge of health insurance.
  • Detail Oriented and Task Driven.
  • Serve as back up registration speacilaist as needed including vacations, illnesses, lunches, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to ensure proper billing for services provided.
  • Prepare patient packets for scheduled appointments.
  • Maintain accurate and current patient orders.
  • Accept and process all forms of payments.
  • Uphold facility policies and procedures.
  • Clean and sanitize office supplies and workstation.
  • Completing and releasing medical records, as needed.
  • Maintaining accurate and current patient images within EMR (ie. Drivers licenses, insurance cards, POA’s, etc.).
  • Greet and assist patients, family members, vendors, visitors, and employees by directing them to the appropriate department or person.
  • Answer and direct incoming phone calls to appropriate person/department.
  • Provide clerical assistance to other departments as needed and directed by Manager.
  • Assist other departments based on skills assessment as directed by Manager.
  • Maintain and balance cash box.
  • Maintain the front desk and lobby area. Ensure all areas are well kept.
  • Maintain the All House calendars and personal calendars.
  • Other job related duties as assigned, may include scheduling and managing patients and scheduling of appointments, assemble patient forms for appointments.
  • Communicates the scheduling and patient process
  • Alert Registration Training Support Specialist to any insurance issues in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Provide support of updates and demonstrates strong communication skills both oral and written.
  • Participate in regularly scheduled staff meetings with Senior Manager of Patient Access to go over any issues, new process, etc.
  • Notify Manager of time off through email and Ultipro.
