About The Position

Lab Production Technician The Lab Production Technician is a specialized manufacturing role responsible for the precise execution of the company's infused product lines, including automated pre-roll infusion and large-scale cannabis beverage formulation. This role ensures product accuracy, potency, safety, and regulatory compliance by strictly adhering to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and detailed batch documentation requirements. Success in this position requires mechanical aptitude, formulation precision, strong quantitative skills, and disciplined regulatory compliance.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of hands-on production or lab experience in a regulated manufacturing environment (cannabis, food/beverage, pharmaceutical, or similar).
  • Experience operating automated production equipment required.
  • Demonstrated ability to operate, program, and maintain production machinery (infusion systems, mixing tanks, pumps).
  • Strong quantitative skills, including recipe scaling, unit conversions (mg → g → mL), and yield reconciliation.
  • Proven ability to follow SOPs and maintain accurate production documentation.
  • Experience using a state cannabis tracking system (e.g., Metrc) strongly preferred.
  • Ability to pass a state-mandated background check.
  • Ability to lift 30–50 lbs as needed and work in warehouse-style environments.
  • Must obtain and maintain required cannabis work permits or badges.

Responsibilities

  • Set up, calibrate, operate, and maintain automated pre-roll infusion equipment (e.g., Jiko Infuser or similar injection systems).
  • Accurately measure, weigh, and load cannabis concentrates (distillate, live resin, etc.) and terpenes according to approved product formulations.
  • Program and adjust critical machine settings (temperature, pressure, infusion volume, injection depth) to ensure consistent dosing and burn performance.
  • Conduct QC checks including weight verification, concentrate placement, and visual inspection.
  • Troubleshoot minor equipment issues such as clogs or dosing irregularities.
  • Accurately measure and stage all ingredients including water, flavor concentrates, sweeteners, and cannabinoid emulsions/distillate.
  • Monitor and record key beverage metrics (pH, Brix, temperature) using calibrated lab instruments.
  • Adjust formulation variables as directed by the Lead Technician or Production Manager.
  • Execute sanitary transfer of finished bulk beverage to packaging or holding tanks while maintaining strict food safety protocols.
  • Maintain complete and accurate batch production records documenting inputs, outputs, yields, and QC results.
  • Accurately perform all material transformations and transfers in internal inventory systems and the state tracking platform (e.g., Metrc).
  • Adhere to all GMP, sanitation SOPs, and food safety requirements.
  • Perform full Clean-In-Place (CIP) procedures on beverage systems.
  • Maintain detailed cleaning logs for infusion equipment and lab areas.
  • Maintain physical control and security of concentrated materials and bulk finished goods.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and production readiness.
