About The Position
In a Chemistry or Physics lab section, the Lab Prep Assistant prepares and sets up materials for each laboratory session. Work schedule is variable for this position. Skills necessary include the ability to work independently as guided by the instructor, completing preparations in a timely manner, working assigned hours (up to 6 hours each week) and maintaining laboratory and prep room order and cleanliness. Student employees working in Science Hall laboratory settings must attend a mandatory safety meeting to learn safety procedures necessary for the job.
