About The Position
Millennium Physician Group is seeking to hire a full-time Lab Phlebotomist to join the Lab team. We are looking for a new team member who is positive, energetic, well-organized, has the ability to multi-task, and think outside of the box. We want someone who supports our top initiative of ensuring an excellent patient experience! As a Lab Phlebotomist you will be directly involved in the care for our patients. You will be expected to provide 'painless' phlebotomy procedures utilizing universal precautions and safe work practices, process specimens and demonstrate proper handling of samples, instruct patients on Coumadin and perform limited waived testing (Protimes). You will also need to maintain sample integrity by positive identification and labeling (2 identifiers), maintain work area, supplies and cleanliness, provide excellent bedside manner with patients.
