About The Position

Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a Histology Supervisor working from our laboratory in Phoenix, AZ location, with a start date of November 17, 2025. This position oversees the daily workflows of the histology department, including but not limited to embedding, cutting, staining, cover slipping, slide distribution, special stains, grossing, tissue processing, and immunofluorescent multiplexing, while also assisting as needed. The primary focus of this role is directing staff to ensure efficient execution of daily tasks and providing support where necessary. Additional responsibilities, as outlined in the job description, may include attending strategic laboratory meetings, participating in performance reviews, and contributing to quality management initiatives. This role also writes and reviews Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed to maintain and improve operational standards.

Requirements

  • Histotechnologist MS or BS in scientific discipline or equivalent 10 years of experience, preferred in a clinical, research and/or development environment.
  • Master's or bachelor's degree in life sciences or healthcare-related field; HT/HTL (ASCP) certification required, with on-going CMP maintenance.
  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a pathology-related position.
  • Strong understanding of histology processes and preanalytical variables affecting sample quality.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
