CACI is looking for an experienced Lab DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a Lab DevOps Engineer, you will perform a variety of computer systems administration and support tasks including architecting and providing IT services and tools to support to Development and test staff in a laboratory development and testing environment.

  • Provide engineering and IT infrastructure support for a variety of workstations, servers and virtual machines supporting development and testing needs in a telecommunications laboratory environment
  • Assist with architecture, installation, administration and troubleshooting of lab network infrastructure
  • Architect and administer server virtualization and containerized environments (primarily VMware and Docker)
  • Support Windows server daily operations and modifications
  • Support Unix/Linux server daily operations and modifications (Solaris, Ubuntu, Red Hat, Debian, etc.) for real and virtualized systems
  • Support software development environments and change management systems
  • Support software automated testing environments
  • Execute data entry and updates for asset databases and network metadata
  • Communicate with end users to resolve issues as soon as possible
  • Complete tasks as needed for a growing and evolving IT environment
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related scientific or technical discipline with a minimum of three years of related experience.
  • Familiarity with Windows domain day-to-day operations
  • Comfortable working in a Linux command line environment
  • Comfortable working in an interrupt-driven environment with both long term and short term tasks
  • Ability to understand Powershell, BASH, Python, and PHP code (prefer ability to read and write)
  • Knowledge of IT system processes involving requirements definition, analysis, design, implementation, test and support of hardware, software, networks, security and life-cycle support
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work under limited supervision and adapt to change
  • Strong organizational and teamwork skills
  • Excellent customer service skills - administrative area knowledge, communication and listening, problem-solving, professionalism, action-oriented task management (multi-tasking) and confidence
  • Must have good work ethics and show diligence in work performed.
  • Must take initiative and ownership of internal customer requirements and tasks
  • Experience in supporting small to mid-sized organizations (20-100+ users).
  • Experience in the analysis, design, implementation and support of large, complex, inter-networked systems.
