The position involves preparing and distributing all needed supplies to participants for experiential learning sessions and collecting unused supplies at the end of the session. The role requires collaboration with other instructors to plan laboratory experiences for students that emphasize learning objectives from didactic materials used in the classroom setting. The individual will assess the needs of nursing faculty related to the lab and assist students during open lab sessions to optimize practice sessions as needed. Evaluating lab and clinical performance of students to assess achievement of student learning outcomes is also a key responsibility. The position requires maintaining proficiency in all lab procedures and utilizing evidence-based practice to guide performance in laboratory and clinical settings. Additionally, the individual will round to all CU School of Nursing labs to check on equipment, supplies, and any CI/faculty needs during practice sessions, restock and organize supplies according to needs and skills being presented, and ensure all cabinets/supplies closets/medication carts are locked up after all lab usage. The role also includes organizing, maintaining, and tracking lab inventory inclusive of supplies, manikins, equipment, and disposable items, promoting safety in the lab setting for students, patients, and other faculty, and informing the lead course faculty of any deficiencies or performance issues of students.
