About The Position

Christian Hospital with BJC HealthCare is hiring a Part-Time Lab Associate III to work at Christian NW Health Care and Siteman North County Lab. Position Details: Rotating Day Shift hours: Mon-Fri; rotating Saturday NO Sundays or holidays Phlebotomy experience is preferred. Role Purpose Performs a variety of pre analytic, analytic and post analytic laboratory duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2-5 years
• No Experience

Responsibilities

• Performs waived and moderate complex testing with appropriate training and competency, sweat chloride collections, EKG's, etc.
• Under supervision, reports test results as appropriate.
• Sorts and processes routine and specific high level specimens received by the lab--including multistep technical processing (i.e. Histology, Microbiology, Cytology, etc.). Ensures correct processing and packaging for esoteric send out tests.
• Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
• Inventory management, equipment cleaning, maintenance, loading, etc.
