About The Position
We are seeking a Lab Assistant to support our Microbiology laboratory operations. This role is essential for ensuring accurate testing by assisting with sample preparation, maintaining laboratory equipment, and supporting general lab operations.
Requirements
- High school diploma with a focus on applied sciences or laboratory studies.
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM - 10:00 PM.
Nice To Haves
- Previous laboratory experience preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with cleaning and preparing glassware, plasticware, and laboratory equipment.
- Support preparation of media and diluents for microbial testing.
- Maintain laboratory organization and perform general housekeeping.
- Monitor inventory and restock consumables as needed.
- Dispose of biological waste safely and according to procedures.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and comply with Health & Safety guidelines, including wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
