Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Required
- No experience required
Nice To Haves
- 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist
- Experience in performing EKGs is
- Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting is
- Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency is
Responsibilities
- Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable.
- Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures.
- Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.
