As a laboratory assistant you will be a member of a diverse, agile team responsible for biological specimen receipt, identification verification, processing and storage. In addition, you will perform a variety of clerical, processing, and other laboratory duties that include maintaining supply inventory, filing, stocking, receiving shipments, and cleaning. You will actively partner with team members by fostering an inclusive work environment and respecting others with different backgrounds, experiences and perspectives. This position is located at the Superior Drive Support Center where immediate parking is available. The Lab assistant position will focus on ancillary tasks performed within the operations. Tasks include but are not limited to: Lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Push/Pull greater than 75 lbs. Repetitive motion hand/wrist Grasp/Pinch Hearing requirements Full use of both hands Color-identify and distinguish Ability to verbally communicate In addition to gaining clinical laboratory experience, you will have many opportunities for career advancement within Specimen Operations.
