The Lab Assistant - Sound Lab position at DigiPen USA LLC involves supporting live sound events on campus and maintaining sound labs and recording studios. This entry-level role is designed for currently matriculated students who are looking to gain experience in audio engineering and live sound reinforcement while balancing their academic commitments.

Helping with setup and execution of live sound events on DigiPen campus and occasionally outside events.
Cleaning, maintaining, securing, and organizing music classrooms, sound labs, and recording studios.
Assisting music class professors as needed.
Overseeing sound lab equipment checkout requests.
Troubleshooting issues with sound lab and studio hardware and software.

Audio engineering experience with a desire to learn new skills and technologies.
Strong listening skills and musical ears.
Live sound reinforcement and sound mixing experience is a strong plus.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Experience maintaining hardware and software for both Mac and PC computers.
Experience maintaining computer music workstations including audio and MIDI peripherals.
Ability to remain calm and focused in stressful situations.
Ability to lift more than 40 pounds.
Availability to work evenings and weekends.

Experience in live sound reinforcement and sound mixing.

Flexible work hours to accommodate class schedules.
Opportunity to gain hands-on experience in audio engineering and live sound events.
