About The Position

The position involves performing sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in compliance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, and the Georgia Department of Community Health, along with other applicable regulatory standards. Responsibilities include performing venipunctures and obtaining/preparing blood specimens according to Piedmont policies and procedures. The role also includes assisting technical staff with non-clinical tasks.

Requirements

• High School graduate or GED.
• No prior experience required.
• No licensure or certification required by law.

Nice To Haves

• Phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ASPT, NCA or equivalent agency is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of venipuncture/phlebotomy is preferred.
• Working knowledge of clinical laboratory processes is preferred.
• Experience in performing EKGs is preferred.
• Experience working in healthcare or clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
