About The Position
The Laboratory Assistant – Phlebotomist is responsible for collecting, receiving, and distributing specimens within the laboratory, as well as the operation of anticipated laboratory equipment.
Requirements
- Minimum two (2) years of phlebotomy experience.
- High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
- Graduation from Phlebotomist Tech training program.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Be a team player
- Ability to operate lab equipment and proficient in human venipuncture techniques.
- Excellent analytical and organization skills
- Excellent critical thinking judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail, vigilance, poise, and composure in stressful situations.
- Knowledge of computer systems and software used in functional area.
- Certified Phlebotomist Tech 1
Nice To Haves
- Two (2) or more years of infant and children blood collection experience.
- Previous experience with Good Lab Practice.
- Completion of some college level courses.
