About The Position

The Lab Assistant (MI) will work alongside technical staff performing waived testing, processing specimens, entering results into the LIS and performing specimen collections.

Requirements

• High School diploma and/or one year in an approved technical program
• Must be able to provide direct patient care with concern, professionalism, and attention to detail
• must be able to practice infection control
• understand sample requirements
• prioritize appropriately
• communicate effectively
• Must also maintain required competency in all areas where waived testing is performed

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree in medical field (or equivalent experience)
• One year clinical/ phlebotomy experience
