About The Position

As a lab assistant at Amery Hospital & Clinic, you are responsible for collecting various sample types (with phlebotomy as the primary mode of collection), processing patient orders for testing, following laboratory procedures for specimen handling and providing collection instructions to patients for urinalysis, stool, and other sample types. Our Lab Assistant IIIs also perform moderately complex testing at our satellite clinics in Turtle Lake, Clear Lake and Luck as needed. At the core of what they do, laboratory assistants must exhibit a high level of trust in their abilities to put the patient at ease and provide a safe, warm and pleasant experience for our patients. Work Schedule: 0.9 FTE/36 hours per week. Day hours from Monday - Friday with occasional weekend hours as needed. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 2 years detailed work environment with proven organizational skills, and high level of computer knowledge
• Phlebotomy experience/training needed
• Ability to travel to satellite clinics in Turtle Lake, Clear Lake and Luck as needed

Nice To Haves

• Experience in EPIC computer system
