About The Position

The Lab Assistant III is responsible for specimen processing and the analysis, evaluation and reporting of waived and moderately complex laboratory test results, in accordance with established departmental procedures and professional standards, to provide appropriate specimens and accurate data in a timely manner. WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT Perform waived and or moderately complex testing and assess/investigate integrity of test results. Process and evaluate orders and specimens for acceptability. Answer large number of telephone inquiries. Fax, mail and deliver reports to appropriate location. Maintain and file laboratory records and reports. Register patients and place test orders, as required. Collect and receive patient samples, if required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED
• Basic Life Support Program (BLS) - American Heart Association
• Phlebotomy experience - highly preferred
• 2+ years' experience preferred
