The role includes producing reports from the lab information system and correctly routing them as required. Additionally, the position handles phone calls received in the laboratory front office, receives and delivers specimens to laboratory departments in a timely manner, prepares specimens for analysis, and loads automated instruments. The role also requires faxing reports as required in accordance with HIPAA guidelines.
