About The Position

The Lab Assistant I (CPT I) collects blood samples from patients for laboratory testing. They routinely perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws.

Requirements

• Must be able to follow instructions, work quickly and accurately in a fast paced environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must be aware of chemical hygiene protocols, and handling requirements of biohazard materials.
• Must know and follow all universal precautions and be familiar with blood drawing safety devices.
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills are essential.
• Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position.
• Current Phlebotomy Certificate CPT I issued by the California Department of Public Health.
