Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Completion of an approved phlebotomy training program or one year of proven experience in Hospital, Reference, or Physician Office Lab required.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and proficiency in utilization of personal computer skills.
  • Position requires frequent prolonged standing/walking.
  • Requires occasional lifting of supplies/equipment up to 25 lbs.
  • There is a continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person, continuously exhibiting manual dexterity and mobility; frequently reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching; continuous ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less, to judge distance and space relationships; to bring objects into focus; and to distinguish and identify different colors.
  • Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
  • Minimal noise levels.
  • Much exposure to computer work.
  • Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
  • Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
  • Some exposure to hazardous chemicals.
  • Occasional exposure to radiation.
  • Travel between facilities as required.
