About The Position

The Lab Assistant for a Biology lab course will assist the lab instructor and help students complete the lab by answering questions and acting as a technical resource. In addition, the assistant will help with the clean-up and set-up of the next lab session. The position will vary depending on which lab course the assistant is assisting with.

Requirements

• Must have taken and done well in the lab course being assisted
• Strong command of the subject area
• Strong interpersonal skills to mentor students
• Must be recommended and requested by a lab instructor

Responsibilities

• Assist lab instructor during lab sessions
• Help students complete lab assignments
• Answer student questions and provide technical support
• Assist with clean-up after lab sessions
• Set up for the next lab session
