About The Position

The Sample Receiver/Courier performs a variety of clerical responsibilities as well courier functions under minimal supervision. Assisting in preparing bottle orders and ensuring accurate and timely documentation of sample log in, labeling, and routing. Samples are packed in coolers with ice, the courier needs to be able to lift and move the coolers repeatedly - usually 50 lbs. but can be heavier. Driving is also a portion of this role. This position is full time M-F 8am-5pm or 9am-6pm. Compensation is $18-20/hour with full benefits.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office program.
• Operating standard office equipment.
• Customer service skills.
• Ability to work with the public.
• Ability to prioritize workload and manage interruptions.
• Ability to communicate orally and in writing.
• Valid state issued driver's license to operate company vehicles.
• Ability to pass a Motor Vehicle background check as required for company driver certification.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more.
• Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
• Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Receives and unloads incoming samples verifies receipt against Chain of Custody (COC).
• Verifies that COC's are accurate, complete, and correct and seeks resolution for those that are not.
• Logs samples into Lab Management System daily in addition to labeling samples.
• Prepares sample bottle kits daily for clients.
• Maintains and promotes safety and conducts all operations in a safe and environmentally compliant manner.
• Performs Stock and inventory related tasks daily.
• Answering Customer Service calls and assisting clients via phone or email.
• Greets customers to the laboratory.
• Performs basic office procedures according to standard operating procedures so information is appropriately maintained.
