Laboratory Assistant at UCSF Neuroscience laboratory in the Department of Ophthalmology and the Department of Neurology. The focus of our research is to understand retinal and central processing deficits in eye disease and neurological disorders. The Lab Assistant 1 will work closely with all laboratory members in various aspects of research, including assistance with ordering of supplies and maintaining laboratory inventory, and general oversight to ensure the smooth running of laboratory operations and organization. This individual maintains records and files pertaining to equipment, supplies, and lab compliance with regulatory agencies. This individual under supervision will assist with the preparation of data collection and assist with research as directed by Specialist and postdoctoral fellows. The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement. The salary range for this position is $19.43 - $22.49 (Hourly Rate).
