About The Position

Castle Biosciences Inc. is growing, and we are looking to hire a full-time Anatomic Pathology (Histology) Manager working from our Phoenix, AZ office location, with a start date of February 9, 2026 We're a growing department with an entrepreneurial spirit, building both our team and our capabilities. This work not only supports our routine clinical practice, but also plays a key role in advancing clinical and R&D studies conducted across the country. W e're looking for someone with 6+ years of histology experience, HT or HTL ASCP certification, and proven experience leading teams of 10 or more in a dynamic lab environment. the Anatomic Pathology Manager oversees daily operations, including QA/QC, equipment setup, SOP development, and supervision of histology procedures. The manager leads and mentors' histologists while remaining hands‑on at the bench-handling specimens, embedding, cutting, and staining (H&E, IHC, IFC)-and ensuring all work meets Castle Biosciences' QMS, CLIA, CAP, and NYS standards. The department is expanding, and we will move to Scottsdale in mid‑Q2 (April/May) near the 101 & Princess/Pima exit.

Requirements

  • ASCP Board certified Histotechnologist/Histotechnician HT/HTL required, with on-going CMP maintenance
  • BS degree in life sciences or healthcare-related field or equivalent
  • 6-10 years of experience, preferred in a clinical, research and/or development environment.
  • 6-10 years of technical proficiency in histological methodology, knowledge of regulatory requirements, and successful collaboration with others.
  • Strong understanding and practical experience with histology and technical procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of quality control purpose and procedures.
