The Clinical Research Specimen Processing (CRSP) team at Fred Hutch is seeking a Lab Aide. The Lab Aide will support the CRSP team by performing daily Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) review, data entry, and documentation to maintain compliance with quality standards. This role is responsible for applying established QA protocols to ensure the accuracy and integrity of laboratory data for clinical research. Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent OR a high school senior with lab-based experience and/or a demonstrated interest in the sciences.
  • Competency in MS Office (Excel, Word)

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Familiarity with SmartSheet and/or Florence eBinders
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new systems and protocols
  • Ability to work in a collaborative team-oriented environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality assurance (QA) review of completed laboratory records to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Perform data entry, scanning, and filing, including maintenance of Florence eBinders.
  • Research and resolve sponsor and clinical team queries with accurate, timely information.
  • Generate and deliver routine quality and compliance reports to study teams.
  • Provide support for specimen inventory tracking and reconciliation.
  • Other duties as assigned.
