About The Position
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington. The Roth lab studies oxygen dependent survival limits and attempts to extend them using chemistry, pharmacology and genetics. The incumbent works under the close supervision of the Lab Manager or other lab personnel.
Requirements
- MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent; OR, High school senior with lab-based experience or demonstrated interest in the sciences
Nice To Haves
- Undergraduate senior with life sciences major
- Good lab skills cell and or organism culture (bacteria, worms, fish, cell culture)
- Computer skills (database, statistics, imaging)
- Good communication skills and collaborative attitude
Responsibilities
- Prepare media and solutions
- Prepare culture plates
- Clean lab glassware and storage boxes
- May assist with some experiments
