JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Work Shift: Monday - Friday: 1:00p - 9:30p | No Weekends, No Holidays Summary of the Job: Performs various clerical functions such as answering phone, copying, faxing and making calls to healthcare providers. Provides support to laboratory technical staff through handling specimens in pre-analytic and post-analytic phases of testing. Maintains clean, neat and well stocked laboratory workspaces and equipment. Complies with organization's C.A.R.E.S. standards.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must successfully complete in-house training under close supervision of Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician.
• Basic knowledge of computers, printers and office laboratory equipment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work independently.
• Must possess good physical health.
• Some requirements include but are not limited to standing, sitting or walking for long periods of time.
• Lifting at least 50 pounds is required.
• Must be able to work with a moderate level of noise.
