About The Position
About the Role: Gladstone seeks a laboratory aide to provide support for the Gladstone Institute of Data Science and Biotechnology. What you will do: • Cleaning / autoclaving of glassware • Preparation of reagents and plates according to protocols supplied by lab and/or scientists • Biohazard / chemical / radioactive waste handling according to OSHA standards • Maintenance of tissue culture facilities including autoclaving, incubators and cleaning tissue culture biosafety cabinets • Conference room set ups • Maintenance of lab inventory • General Laboratory housekeeping What you will need: • High school diploma or equivalent required • Additional coursework or degree in a related scientific field is a plus • Highly organized, flexible, and able to efficiently work in a collaborative, fast-paced, friendly and diverse environment • Exemplary work ethics and good communication skills • Familiarity with basic laboratory techniques and equipment • Adherence to laboratory safety guidelines and practices • Moderate lifting Salary Range: $23.27/hr. -$27.38/hr.
