This is a part time position to directly support laboratory research in the Corey Lab in the Vaccine and Infectious Diseases Division (VIDD). The Lab Aide will work closely with Dr. Karsten Eichholz on an ongoing study to develop chimeric antigen receptor T cells. They will be responsible for performing laboratory experiments, interpreting the results, and communicating results to Dr. Eichholz.

Requirements

  • MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School diploma or equivalent; OR, High school senior with lab-based experience or demonstrated interest in the sciences

Nice To Haves

  • Documented evidence of HIPAA training, and be willing to complete additional research training.
  • Excellent computer skills, including the ability to use MS word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and an excellent work ethic are required.
  • Flexible and able to work independently without supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Help to clone plasmid constructs
  • Help with lentiviral vector production and determine their titers using flow cytometry.
  • Communicate progress and results to project PI
  • Other duties as assigned
