About The Position

Role – Skilled Data Center / Lab Infrastructure Engineer with 2–4 years of hands-on experience in managing large-scale lab environments, network infrastructure, and server deployments. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in hardware setup, network troubleshooting (L1–L3), virtualization, and lab operations support. This role requires a proactive professional capable of ensuring high availability, efficient operations, and seamless support for engineering and testing teams.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding of Data Center Operations and Infrastructure Management
  • Hands-on experience with: Server configuration and hardware troubleshooting
  • Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, VLANs, switching, routing)
  • Layer 1–3 troubleshooting
  • Experience with Cisco networking devices (Nexus, etc.)
  • Knowledge of Virtualization technologies and VM deployment
  • Familiarity with Linux (RHEL, Ubuntu) and Windows environments
  • Experience with hardware assembly, OS installation, and system provisioning
  • Exposure to tools/platforms like: Kubernetes / OpenShift / NSO (preferred exposure level acceptable)

Nice To Haves

  • Certifications like Cisco (CCNA/CCNP) or equivalent
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise lab environments
  • Exposure to Python scripting

Responsibilities

  • Perform rack-and-stack, cabling, and physical setup of servers, network devices, and lab infrastructure
  • Configure and deploy server hardware, operating systems, and virtualization platforms
  • Support lab buildouts, testbed deployments, and environment readiness for engineering teams
  • Troubleshoot network and connectivity issues (Layer 1–3) and ensure minimal downtime
  • Monitor and maintain data center infrastructure health and performance
  • Work on network devices for configuration, bring-up, and troubleshooting
  • Manage inventory of hardware, spare parts, and lifecycle processes
  • Provide remote and on-site technical support to internal teams
  • Develop and maintain SOPs, technical documentation, and knowledge base articles
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of projects
  • Train and guide junior engineers on operational procedures and best practices
  • Conduct routine audits, inspections, and compliance checks of lab environments
