Lab Administrative Research Technician- King Lab

About The Position

We have a rare opportunity for a Lab Administration Research Technician to join the King Lab at the University of California, Berkeley. The King lab seeks to understand the genetic, genomic, and cellular foundations of animal origins. To do this, King lab members study the closest living relatives of animals, the choanoflagellates. Genes shared by choanoflagellates and animals – including signaling and adhesion gene homologs – were likely present in their last common ancestor and may shed light on the transition to multicellularity. More information about the lab and its work can be found by visiting https://kinglab.berkeley.edu/ . About the LART role: You will provide administrative and technical support to the Investigator and laboratory staff in the King Lab at UC Berkeley, which studies the origins of animal multicellularity. This is a one-year position (with the possibility of extension) that is designed as a bridge to graduate school or other advanced opportunities.
