About The Position

LA28 is the independent, non-profit, privately funded organizing committee for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic and Paralympic Games. We are on a singular mission to create an Olympic and Paralympic Games that celebrate all that this city and country have to offer, delivering an unparalleled experience for athletes, fans, partners and our community. The 2028 Games mark the return of the Summer Games to the U.S. for the first time in 32 years and Los Angeles’ third time hosting an Olympic Games and first time welcoming the Paralympic Games. This presents the unique and exciting opportunity to celebrate our legacy with the Games and push the Olympic and Paralympic Movements forward, writing a new chapter of Games history in Los Angeles. Putting on an Olympic and Paralympic Games is a team sport. To build a Games unlike any the world has seen before, we need the best team in place–a team full of diverse perspectives, experiences and expertise. We are guided by the following set of values and behaviors–optimism, integrity, excellence, inclusion, co-creation and boldness–and look forward to hearing about how your past experiences align with them. 2026 Summer Internship Program - Legal The 2026 LA28 Legal Internship Program offers law students the opportunity to contribute hands-on, meaningful work to critical planning efforts for the 2028 Olympic & Paralympic Games. Legal Interns will be embedded within the Legal team and support a wide range of projects that enable LA28’s operations across the organization. This internship is intended for students currently enrolled in an ABA-accredited law school as rising 2Ls or rising 3Ls. Interns will support day-to-day legal work and longer-term projects, gaining exposure to the practical legal considerations involved in delivering an Olympic and Paralympic Games. This is a paid, 8-week program, with interns working 30 hours per week, fully in person at our Los Angeles Headquarters, from June 15 through August 7, 2026. The LA28 Legal team supports every functional area across the organization, including external affairs, finance, human resources, Games planning and delivery, technology, and commercial partnerships. The Legal Intern will work across a variety of matters and gain exposure to multiple areas of practice while developing practical legal skills to support professional growth. The Legal team is comprised of three primary pods—Commercial & Sales, Games Delivery & Planning, and Business Operations Services & Sourcing—and the Legal Intern may contribute to projects across all three. The deadline to apply for the 2026 LA28 Legal Internship Program is Wednesday, February 11th, at 11:59 PM PST, or until we have reached the maximum number of applications.
