About The Position

The Shift Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, assembling, installing, and maintaining mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment. Requirements

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of an apprenticeship program or 2 years' experience as a journeyman industrial mechanic.

Responsibilities

• Performance of all jobs must be conducted safely, efficiently and accurately.
• Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems.
• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains processes at an industrial level.
• Performs work orders that comply with the maintenance schedule and addresses the plant needs.
• Support predictive and preventative maintenance program.
• Support internal projects.
• Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce quality materials output that meet product specifications and quality system requirements.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and follows the Safety Cardinal Rules.
• Performs any other assignments as directed.
