About The Position
Labor & Industries is looking for a dedicated and experienced pressure vessel operator with a commitment to public safety. We are looking for a Pressure Vessel Inspector 1 to come on board and verify that all boilers and unfired pressure vessels installed in the state of Washington comply with the construction requirements of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) and are installed in accordance with the requirements of the state of Washington Boilers and Unfired Pressure Vessels Law (RCW 70.79 and Chapter WAC 296-104). You will be responsible for inspecting in-service boilers and unfired pressure vessels to ensure compliance with state laws and the National Board Inspection Code, ensuring public safety to the state of Washington. As a Pressure Vessel Inspector 1, you will be part of our Boiler/Pressure Vessel Program within Labor and Industries. The program ensures public safety and is responsible for safety inspections and regulations of over 117,000 boilers and pressure vessels located in the state of Washington.
