About The Position

Inova Fairfax Hospital is looking for a dedicated OR Services Leader to join the
Labor and Delivery Unit. This role will be Full-time Night Shift: ull-time Night
Shift: 40 hours per week, 2x12 and 2x8 hour shifts per week.. Sign-on bonus and
relocation assistance eligible.

Requirements

• Education Requirement: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associate’s Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date.
• Experience: Required 2 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Required Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification from the American Heart Association required upon start | CNOR or equivalent specialty certification within 12 mos of hire
• Required Licensure: Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse or an active multi-state Registered Nurse license

Nice To Haves

• Three years of recent Registered Nurse (RN) inpatient experience on a Labor and Delivery Unit.
• BSN (Bachelors of Science in Nursing)
• Previous Charge Nurse experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Leads Operating Room services to ensure efficient unit operations and optimal patient outcomes
• Delivery safe, high-quality, and cost-effective preoperative care
• Serves as clinical leader, liaison, and resource for assigned surgical specialty/unit
• Ensures compliance with quality, safety, regulatory requirements, and Joint Commission standards
• Identifies and implements cost-effective strategies without compromising patient safety
• Promotes innovation and continuous improvement in preoperative nursing practices
• Coaches and mentors staff, supporting clinical decision-making and professional development
• Utilizes AORN tools and best practices to drive high-quality surgical care delivery
• Collaborates on emergency preparedness, training, and unit-specific drills
