About The Position

As part of our Silicon Technologies group, you'll help design and manufacture our next-generation, high-performance, power-efficient processor, system-on-chip (SoC). You'll ensure Apple products and services can seamlessly and efficiently handle the tasks that make them beloved by millions. Joining this group means you'll be responsible for crafting and building the technology that fuels Apple's devices. Together, you and your team will enable our customers to do all the things they love with their devices!

Requirements

• Strong Linux system administration and container technologies experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes package management and templating tools (Helm, Kustomize).
• Experience developing custom Kubernetes operators and controllers.
• Proficiency in scripting and automation languages (Python, Bash, Go).
• Experience with infrastructure automation using Terraform and configuration management (Puppet, Ansible).
• Experience with CI/CD pipeline implementation and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD, Flux).
• Experience with monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk) and performance tuning.

Responsibilities

• Deploy, operate, and enhance Kubernetes infrastructure within the Silicon Technologies organization.
• Ensure reliable, scalable, and secure container orchestration platforms for the Silicon Engineering Group.
• Build and maintain robust cluster environments that support critical engineering workflows and development processes.
• Provide architectural guidance and demonstrate expertise in cluster management, security hardening, and performance optimization.
• Champion cloud-native practices and implement sophisticated Kubernetes solutions for a large distributed environment.
• Drive best practices and innovation across container infrastructure while balancing operational excellence with engineering team requirements.
